What better a setting for a poet and a painter!
The sun-bleached walls, the distinct blue domes, the cobbled streets meticulously lined with the whites, the washed by-lanes, the pastel pinks and ochre painted houses, the church bells, the windmills to take us back in time. What a fascinating setting!
Walking through the streets of a city perched on top of the volcanic island, bubbling with energy.
The cozy cafes and the pubs that line the streets or hidden in the by-lanes, the vibrant flowers and the sun-kissed walls all merging together yet so distinct, all wedded together so beautifully.
The expanse of the emerald sea, offering glorious view from dusk to dawn…and the chasing of the sunsets till the city is beautifully lit. A setting so idyllic!
I wander through the streets and wonder, what magic it has left behind. How charming a place!
No wonder I left a little bit of me in the tranquillity of Santorini!
